Recovery has not been the easiest of things. The doctor told us that Kelly's back surgery was a 12 week healing process and I tell ya what it really is. Kelly is going SO stir crazy sitting in the house still not being able to do things that he used to. He is able to drive now and go to the store which is nice for him. Unfortunately the weather has to cooperate to be able to go outside and get some fresh air and let Ryan play. I think sometime that is going to happen. We try and do stuff on the weekend but then he usually over does it and is down for a day or two after. He goes to the Dr. again on the 26th so we will see what the next step is. On the up side to his surgery it was really nice to have his Mom and Aunt Mary here for a week to help us. They were here over Easter weekend which was nice to spend it with them. Ryan was so cute Easter morning. He had already peaked downstairs and KNEW the Easter Bunny had come to our house. Once he got us out of bed we told him he had to wait for Grandma and Aunt Mary before he could go downstairs. HAHAHA 2 year olds don't "WAIT". When we got downstairs he ran from egg to egg and also discovered his Easter basket along the way. Dad held his hand and they went around the house looking for all the eggs. Ryan would get SO excited when he found one. He would point and laugh....It was the cutest thing ever. He is still playing with his cute Easter basket and now empty eggs. 2 year olds are pretty easy to entertain. Well sometimes...LOL.
After Kelly's Mom and Aunt Mary went back to St. George my Mom came up and stayed with us for almost a week. My Mom can not sit still for more than minutes at a time so Ryan and her were constantly doing something or going somewhere. They went to the Aquarium and saw the Penguins, the park, went to see my Grandparents in Orem and played at the McDonalds playland. Ryan loved spending time with both of his Grandmas. He doesn't get to see them enough and vice versa. So fun for them to actually get to spend numerous days with him, getting to know him and his cute little personality. I think we wore all of them out and they were ready to go home to their less hectic lives.
