Cherry Campground June 2010

For our Anniversary and Father's Day weekend we booked a spot at a new to us campground up Hobble Creek Canyon called Cherry. OOOOooohhhh my......is all I can say. It is SUCH a beautiful area up there. There are alot of big beautiful trees with a creek that runs right through the campground.
We went with Shain & Erin & Shains Dad Craig, Damon & Rochelle & their 2 kids Caiden & Kayia, Brad & Gina and a surprise to us Johnny & Leila & their son Nick. We had such a good time with everyone there. It was a very relaxing weekend. No cell phones and no tv reception!! LOVE IT!! The kids fished, played in the water and rode their bikes everywhere. The guys fished, played frisbee and football.
We went on lots of walks all over the campground. There was some really cool group areas that we found along with the endless possible trails we could have taken. We have spots up there for the 24th of July and I tell ya what, we can't wait. I think Cherry might be our new favorite campground. Kelly cooked us New York steaks and Dutch Oven Potato's the first night that were TO DIE for and Shain cooked "More Please" (SO YUMMY) and Peach Cobbler in the Dutch Oven Sat night. We never go hungry when we go. We are always looking for the next Dutch Oven recipe to try. The weather was amazing, warm during the day and cold enough for a fire at night. Our heater did click on a couple of times so it must have gotten pretty chilly!! It will be a great place to go during the middle of summer. Our trailers were shaded the entire time. Now to plan for our BIG 4th of July trip. We are headed to Roosevelt with a bunch of friends to camp on some private land. We leave on Thur 7/1 and won't be back until Tues 7/6. Lots of pics and stories to come!
